Jenny Schinkten, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist who has been working with children, teenagers, adults, and families for over 20 years.  I believe that it is important to meet clients where they are at in their personal journey.  My goal is to connect with every individual that walks through my door and to empower them to be their own kind of beautiful.  I believe that in order for my clients to feel as though they are benefiting from meeting with me there needs to be a strong therapeutic relationship.

I enjoy supporting teenagers while they explore their self identity, navigate relationships, and adjust to life transitions.  I am passionate about empowering women of all ages to discover their true self worth and values and to live a life consistent with this versus what society and culture dictates.

I also have experience in working with adolescents and teenagers who have experienced trauma, abuse and/or neglect, separation from a caregiver, parent’s divorce, grief, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and other disruptions impacting their development.

I earned my Masters in Social Work Degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.  I have a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  I have a 13-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son, along with two dogs.  In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy exercising, gardening, cooking, spending time in nature, and reading.

I work with adults, couples, and adolescents (ages 13 and up).
