Lisa Cavil, LPC

Hello, I am Lisa Cavil, LPC. I provide in person sessions exclusively at our Green Bay location, and telehealth sessions to anyone in the state of Wisconsin. As a licensed therapist, my purpose is to help you through the changes and transitions in your life. Sometimes life throws us the proverbial curveball and we need help adjusting. Trauma, from the past or present, in one “big” event, or several “small” events throughout a lifetime, can make the stress of everyday life more difficult to manage on your own. Other times, we are simply feeling stuck, and want help figuring out the next step. No matter what you are going through, I will work with and support you in finding a healthy way to manage whatever situation you are currently facing. Together, we will collaborate so you can more effectively manage your negative thoughts, get unstuck, heal what needs to be healed, and move you toward the life you want for yourself.

My entire career has focused on helping people. First as a high school teacher, then as a parenting coach, and since 2013, as a therapist. I have worked with individuals of all ages facing a vast array of struggles. I have in-depth training in many therapeutic modalities including: Brainspotting, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Ending the Game (ETG-for survivors of human sex trafficking), Training for Adoption Competency (TAC), Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), and others. To be the best therapist I can, I continually seek new opportunities to be educated and grow so that I can better help the clients I am honored to work with.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education from UW-Green Bay, a Master’s Degree in Alternative Education from Marian University, and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from Lakeland College.

I work with individuals, couples, and children/adolescents (ages 16 and up) who have depression, anxiety, panic and stress, relationship issues, PTSD, trauma, and other unresolved issues that continue to impact their current lives.
