Many people know what they want to do differently but have trouble putting it into practice when emotions run high. DBT provides a set of skills that can help with managing emotions, navigating conflict, tolerating distress, and staying grounded during difficult situations. This group offers an opportunity to learn and practice those skills in a supportive setting.
Group Format:
Mindfulness – 3 weeks
Learn how to become more present, increase self-awareness, and better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.Distress Tolerance – 3 weeks
Build healthy coping skills to manage difficult emotions, stressful situations, and moments of crisis without making things worse.Emotional Regulation – 3 weeks
Develop tools to better understand, manage, and respond to emotions in a balanced and healthy way.Interpersonal Effectiveness – 3 weeks
Strengthen communication skills, set healthy boundaries, and improve relationships while maintaining self-respect.
$50/session (or through insurance)
18 years or older
Must be actively receiving counseling (not required to be at Reflection)
